You don’t have to be a Photoshop expert to create awesome graphics or be an SEO whiz to find the best keywords.

There are plenty of free marketing tools out there to make your life easier – and make your marketing better.

We’ve rounded up some of the best and listed them just for you down below.

Check out our list of the best free marketing tools in the land!

Graphics

Canva

Free Marketing Tools

For those of us who only occasionally need to create graphics (or who don’t know how to use/have access to Photoshop), Canva is the perfect tool.

Canva is a drag-and-drop tool with a user-friendly interface.

With templates ranging from infographic to email header, you’ll have access to hundreds of images, fonts, and layouts.

The drag-and-drop system makes it easy to create professional graphics without any graphic design training.

Try out Canva here.

Unsplash

Free Marketing Tools

If you need high-quality stock images for your graphics, Unsplash is the site for you.

Adding 10 new photos every 10 days, Unsplash features incredible high-quality images (like the one seen above!) that will make any project look amazing.

Add some design and text in Canva, and you’ll have an original graphic that looks amazing and far exceeds the amount of time it took to create it.

Peruse Unsplash here.

Compressor.io

The final graphics tool on our list, Compressor.io reduces the file size of images up to 90% without reducing the image quality.

This saves valuable space on your site and makes it easier to upload images to social media platforms. Just as importantly, it’s quick and easy-to-use.

As for quality, try to spot the difference between the before and after sides of the image below.

Screaming Frog

Screaming Frog is a desktop program that crawls a site’s URLs and collects info from an SEO perspective.

Either in-program or via .csv, you’ll be able to view everything from word count to meta descriptions to the number of external outlinks.

You can even integrate the program with the Google Analytics API to fetch data including bounce rate and landing page revenue.

Answer the Public

Free Marketing Tools

If you’re looking to go a step beyond what your keyword planner can provide, look no further than Answer the Public.

To begin, type in a keyword. For example, let’s go with “kettles,” because everyone loves a spot o’ tea.

Answer the Public gives you the who, what, when, where, and why – and much more. So instead of simply getting a list of keywords, you’ll learn what questions people are actually asking.

Some questions are general, such as “What are copper kettles used for?”

Others are more specific, such as “Which kettles are not made in China?”

Whichever route you take, you’ll have some great insight into how to tailor your content specifically toward your customers’ queries.

Give Answer the Public a go.

Open Site Explorer

Free Marketing Tools

Moz provides many great SEO services, and their Open Site Explorer is no exception.

Once you paste a site’s URL, Open Site Explorer gives you the site’s domain authority, page authority, number of links, social metrics, and much more. It even reports the spam score of all of the site’s inbound links.

Check out the sample results above – and yes, those are the results for a site devoted entirely to cute photos of cats.

WebDev

Pagespeed Insights

Search engines consider sites’ speeds for rankings, and users increasingly click away from a page that takes more than a few seconds to load. Google’s PageSpeed Insights lets you know where your site stands.

Simply enter your site’s URL, and you’ll receive a one to 100 score of your site’s speed.

Better yet, PageSpeed Insights tells you what you should fix and what you should consider fixing, with separate results for mobile and desktop.

You’ll need a basic understanding of coding, but if you have that, Brackets makes web design easier than ever.
