GW: How are you? Welcome back to Ambergreen – the second recruit this year who has returned to their roots in digital marketing in Edinburgh. You’ve been brought on board as an experienced Search Marketing Consultant. As the latest recruit, how does it feel to be back at Ambergreen?

AA: I am really excited about the second innings at Ambergreen and the feeling is just tremendous. I would say coming back was a very natural decision, which is quite evident with the ease with which I have been able to integrate with the team – right from my first day, as if I never left!

As you mentioned I started my digital marketing career here and I learnt so much in the fun-filled environment Ambergreen offers, I think this has been a big reason that I find myself here again, alongside some very talented people who have a great drive for all things digital and possess a worth ethic which is just too infectious. I am looking forward to another exciting journey again!

GW: Not everyone has had the pleasure of meeting you and spending time with you like we have, could you tell us a little about yourself?

AA: Little??? I think I have a lot to say!… Jokes apart, all I’d like to say is that I have a huge passion for SEO with a flair for paid media and a growing inclination towards social media and creative marketing. I have always been fascinated by the dynamic nature of the digital industry and I am always looking for new ideas that can excite clients. Developing ideas and finding solutions to some complex and compelling digital marketing solutions is what I like to do most.

GW: What do you think you can bring to the party?

My perspective to digital marketing and a vision to see the big picture through the complex channels that constitute the industry. I gained a lot of management and operational experience in the past two years outside of Ambergreen and I think that will is what I’d most like to bring.

GW: What do you think are going to be the biggest challenges and opportunities for our clients in 2014?

AA: I think clients are now quite aware of digital environment that surrounds their brand but it is still a challenge to bring it all together to make it work in a structured and strategic manner. Creating the right strategy and environment where teams can coordinate and work towards common goals will be crucial to achieve the realistic and impressive results that we all desire. Integration of various platforms such as PR, offline, creative and social will be an important driver of excellence.

GW: How can you help the clients reach their goals this year?

AA: Research, plan, execute and measure… the factors remain the same as they always have been. What is important is the full realisation of the business goals that the clients want to achieve, creating the right strategy to make the best use of their digital assets and provide clear measurement thoughout will be the key to delighting our clients.

GW: Any words of wisdom?

AA: Keep cool, word hard but work smarter! Always keep a smile on your face, drink lots of water every day and eat chocolate!

Cheers,

Anurag
